Our Team
The Event Group is a team of professionals who are experts in their respective fields. Our wait staff, chef, sales department and logistic experts each personally strive to provide excellent customer service for our catering. Our training, experience and dedication are a powerful asset to your catering and planning needs.
Our social catering and corporate event catering company, based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, has been serving all of Northwest Arkansas since 1996. For almost 30 years, The Event Group has maintained the secret of our success, which is to stay true to our values of dedication to our clients and commitment to service.
Our team works hard to make each event as special it can possibly be for the client, which allows clients to be guests at their own event.

Key Players
Every individual on our staff is vital to our success, and a few key players coordinate the efforts between each part of our team. Our core staff members play an active, hands-on role at each event—meeting with clients, set-up, food preparation and event supervision. They have more than 60 years of combined experience that makes them effective leaders for The Event Group’s growing team.
Ashleigh McKenna
Co-Owner
Ashleigh McKenna has been with Event Group since late 2017, but has been in the food industry since 2002. When she isn’t planning corporate events, she enjoys painting, crafting and numerous outdoor activities. Ashleigh holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and Dance from Hendrix College and an MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Arkansas. She lives with her husband, Connor, and a very sweet and old dog and cat.
Adam Thone
Co-Owner / Head Chef
Adam has been with The Event Group since May 2019, but was promoted to Chef status in 2020. His past culinary experience was at the Springdale Country Club and Big Cedar Lodge. A native of Dardanelle, AR, Adam moved to Fayetteville in 2014. His interests include golf, attending live music events/concerts and hanging with friends.
Sierra Childress
Wedding Sales
Sierra has been with The Event Group since July 2022. She moved to Fayetteville in 2013 from Las Vegas, NV, and pursued a degree in Business Administration from the U of A. Sierra worked as a Catering Sales Manager in the NWA restaurant industry prior to her job with TEG. Her interests include painting, hiking, kayaking, attending live music concerts, and hosting dinner parties for her friends and family.
Kenna McCurdy
Corporate Events Specialist
Kenna has been with The Event Group since March 2022. She grew up in Northwest Arkansas and earned her degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Arkansas. Her hobbies include photography, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places around NWA.
